We will cover the steps needed to fix the Permutive Browser extension if you've opted out of consent/tracking.
This guide is helpful for when the Permutive Browser extension doesn't switch on automatically (turn black) in Chrome as a result of rejecting consent on the site you are visiting.
Overview
Step1. Open the page where the extension is not working Right-click on the page and click 'Inspect'.
Step 2. At the top, Select 'Network' and type 'permutive' into the search box.
Step 3. Refresh the page, this should show you if the Software Development Kit (SDK) is loading.
Step 4. If the SDK isn’t loading, at the top, click the double arrows next to 'Network' and select the Application dropdown.
Step 5. Under the 'Storage' section, expand 'Local Storage' then click on the website URL under the dropdown and click the clear icon.
Step 6. Under the 'Cookies' section, expand 'Cookies' then click on the website URL under the dropdown and click the clear icon.
Step 7. Reload the page and accept cookies. Reload the page once again and the Permutive browser will now work as expected.
