A. Edge processing/computing infrastructure and local storage are fundamentally different. One refers to data processing, and the other refers to data storage.
- Edge processing
- Referred to as 'edge computing'
- Processing data on the device that creates it (rather than transmitting the data to a remote data center for processing).
- Local storage
- Refers to client-side storage mechanisms, which are features of web browsers that allow web applications to store data locally.
