A. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a state law restricting the use of personal data for California State residents.

It has been enforced since January 2020. Under CCPA, consumers have been given the right to:

• access their data,
• erase their data, 
• opt-out of the sale of their personal information.
