An overview of the first-party standard collection type Permutive offers, the Web collector.
The Web Collector package collects the Pageview event, which fires every time a user lands on a new page of your site.
There are a host of data points, called properties, that can be ingested into Permutive alongside the Pageview event.
The following properties are default to the Pageview event:
- URL
- Domain
- Device type
- Browser and operating system
- Geo-enrichment
- Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Referrer
- Title
All of these data points can be used to create first-party audiences in the Permutive platform.
The property examples below are custom data points that can be ingested alongside the Pageview event and can be used to specify the type of content users are visiting on your site:
- Author
- Metadata
- Category
- Date Published
- Description
- Date published
- Section
- Topic
This article details an example of a customised Pageview collection.
