We explain how to target users using location data supplied by Maxmind.
Use Maxmind's location data to create cohorts of users based on their postcode, city, country, or continent.
You can create cohorts of users based on their location while browsing your site. This location data is collected from the user's IP address, using Maxmind's geo-location database. On every pageview event, we collect the user's postcode, city, country, and continent so you have this data available as soon as you install Permutive.
To create a cohort of users who have viewed a page in Manchester, include users with a page where the geo_info.city is Manchester
Note: To create a cohort of users based on their postcode, use geo_info.postal_code and match on the first part of the postcode. For example, 'E1 1DU' would match 'E1'. Cohort creation by postcode is only available for users in the UK, US, and CAN. More information can be found here.
