Remove Non Human Traffic (NHT) to Optimise Campaigns

In this article

Use best practice to optimise your cohorts by removing bot traffic

A large amount of traffic on websites is driven by bots and software agents. As a publisher, this type of traffic can affect the success of your campaigns. NHT can skew analytics and also contribute to unwanted impressions and clicks, leading to a negative impact on campaign KPIs.

Suppress NHT

To optimise campaign performance, create a cohort of of known fraudulent traffic in the cohort builder, and send into DFP.

Example: I've created a cohort where a 'Pageview was performed' where the client.user_agent contains a known list of bots.

Save the cohort and send it to DFP to exclude during campaign optimisation.
