We cover the basics of Permutive events. Events are at the core of audience creation. We collect events on user behaviours, which are then used to determine cohorts those users fall into.

Events explained
An event is a captured action or behaviour that someone takes on your site or app. These can be tied to links, surveys, scroll behaviour and any action which you want to use to help define your audience. There is no upper limit on the volume of events you can create.
Common events
- Pageview
- e.g. Viewing an article in the sport section
- Linkclick
- e.g. Clicking a 'buy now' button on a product page.
