To connect to Databricks, navigate to the Connectivity Catalog, search for Databricks in the search field, and click “Connect” on its card.
The “Connect to Databricks” page contains six required fields:
- Name: Provide a name for the connection. This name does not come from Databricks, it is authored by you to be your reference for the connection within Permutive moving forward
- Catalog: The catalog you want to sync data from. The default is hive_metastore
- Host: The host address for the Databricks cluster which can be found under the “Connection Details” tab of the SQL Warehouse you want to connect to
- Port: The port to connect to Databricks (see “Connection details” above). The default is 443
- HTTP Path: HTTP path of the SQL warehouse (see “Connection details” above)
- Personal Access Token: Permutive uses a secure token to connect to Databricks. Follow the Databricks' token management guide to access the token
