The DFP reaction allows you to send any of your Permutive segments directly to DFP, where you can use them for targeting, under the Permutive targeting key.

In addition to using the DFP reaction in the integrations section of your dashboard, there is also the option to push a segment to DFP in the segment builder.

You need:

  • Access to the Permutive dashboard
  • An idea of the segment you'd like to create OR a segment already created that you'd like to send into DFP

To send Segments via the DFP Reaction follow these steps:

In the Permutive Dashboard:

Note:

  • You must add a new reaction for each segment you send to DFP.
  • We highly recommend that you use your segment id as the title of the DoubleClick segment. You can find the segment id listed next to the segment name in the ‘Segments’ page of the Permutive dashboard. It is a 4 digit code that is unique to each Permutive segment.
  • Your segment will now be sent to DFP as a targeting key value. The key is ‘Permutive’ and the value is the title of the DoubleClick segment you choose (recommended to be the segment id).

To send Segments via the DFP Reaction Sync mechanism (suggested), follow theses steps:

In the Permutive Dashboard:

  • Switch it on, so it turns green and then save the segment.

Your segment will now be sent to DFP as a targeting key value. The key is ‘Permutive’ and the value is the title of the DoubleClick segment you choose (recommended to be the segment id).

Note:

  • You must turn on the DFP reaction for each new segment you create if you want to send it to DFP.
  • The DFP reaction will automatically be sent in with the name 'segment code → DoubleClick'.
  • We highly recommend that in any scenario, you use your segment id as the title of the DoubleClick segment. You can find the segment id listed next to the segment name in the ‘Segments’ page of the Permutive dashboard. It is a 4 digit code that is unique to each Permutive segment.
