Once you have an implementation plan and Permutive tag, you can begin. To verify the data coming in we suggest a shared spreadsheet which is used to confirm events are being collected, measure data quality and sign-off on data collection for each site.
With the Permutive tag, your developer can read up here on how to deploy. They should set up a test page before deploying. Note: The location of the tag, and the added JS are both vital if you are using permutive with DFP.
Once a new site has gone live, email@example.com will update the spreadsheet to confirm that the site is live, and email the relevant dev team with any event schema rejections. If there are rejections then your tag will need to be updated, so Permutive can collect the data.
Verify Data Collection
It is critical to ensure that your data is coming in correctly, as you are relying on this for revenue. For example if you wish to target users by article topics, you must be collecting 'topics' on every relevant page - so that you reach every relevant user.
When verifying your data, we check these areas:
- Volume of uniques, pageviews, sessions. We suggest you compare these figures with GA. We expect < 20% disparity
- Collection of additional properties on the pageview event. We measure the % of non-null properties on each domain.
In Permutive Analytics in the Data Verification report, you can see the data you have coming in.
- Use the 'Sites Live' chart to check when your sites started collecting data
- Use the '% Null Properties' chart to check if properties are being returned null.
- Use the 'Segment Builder' reports to see the properties of different events.
In the spreadsheet, our support team will record the sites that are live (by date), their volumes and pageview event results. You can then confirm if you are happy with the results or need any changes.
Once your project is live, we can immediately switch on IBM Watson and other enrichment services. Your CSM will discuss these enrichment services with you.
Once your project is live, we can immediately enable third-party data for providers including Nielsen, VDNA and Eyeota. Your CSM will discuss this with you.
We can sync user data across multiple devices where they are identifiable in your system, for example where they have logged in with an email address and been assigned a unique ID. This is possible using permutive.identify.

Send Data into Other Platforms
You can send data into DFP directly through the Permutive dashboard, using a DFP reaction. This uses the DFP integration.
In the Permutive Analytics Data Verification dashboard, you can use the 'DFP Connection' chart to check how many impressions permutive is appending in DFP. Once a new site has gone live, our support team will update the spreadsheet with the results and you confirm if you are happy with the results or it needs any changes.
